Public Service Training Offer

Achieve the results you want on the Public Service Commission Second Language Evaluation (SLE) tests through the Alliance Francaise de Moncton. Qualified and carefully-selected FSL teachers with experience in the Federal and Provincial Government French tests.
Accredited by the Federal Government, the Alliance Française de Moncton offers a variety of programs for all your French training needs: intensive classes, group classes, private instruction, preparation for tests, maintenance classes; all tailored to your objectives and able to be adjusted to your schedule.
 

1. Determine your level and the right training for you

We have taken advantage of the expertise of the Alliance Française network in developing develop our assessment test, so that we can provide you with: - a better evaluation of your level - a more accurate idea of the number of hours of instruction you will need to obtain the level you require. The test, which takes about an hour, consists of a written part and an interview with a qualified instructor.  

2. Definition of the program

This course prepares participants to take the Public Service Commission’s test in FSL. Candidates receive a full preparation for each part of the test. The training consists of comprehension, expression, and oral interaction activities with a spiral and increasing progression. The teaching material is Program PFL2.  Below is an estimate of the training time required for the different levels.   Beginner – B level: from 600 to 800 hours Beginner – C level: from 800 to 1000 hours B level – C level: 200 hours  

3. Maintenance courses:

Course option  1 : Oral Communication Skills This course consists of regular meetings during the year to discuss various topics in French in an informal context. For instance, you may meet with your instructor for breakfast in our Learning Centre, or for lunch or supper in a café. Course option 2 : Reading and Writing Skills This course covers  a wide range of topics designed to enhance your reading and writing abilities in French.
