The multimedia library of the Alliance Française of Moncton strives to provide:
Bilingual assistance for all: francophones, anglophones, children and adults, students, teachers etc.;
Contemporary collections in French by international francophone authors;
Pedagogical items and dictionaries to be used as tools for learning French;
Literary events including Round Tables, conferences, book-signings, presentations by authors, storytelling and workshops for schools and children;
A pleasant and user-friendly space, accessible to all.
Hours:
The multimedia library of the Alliance Française of Moncton is open:
Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Evening class students may access the library resources during class hours, but they have to request permission from their teacher.
Who can borrow?
Access to the library is free of charge. To borrow an item, you need to be a member or a student of the Alliance Française of Moncton. Only members and students with a valid membership card can borrow items.The dates of validity of the library membership card will be written on the card.
Please be careful with your card. A $5 replacement fee will be charged for a lost card.
How long can you keep the borrowed items?
With your membership card of the Alliance Française, you can borrow the selected items for two weeks. Items can be renewed once for a further period of 7 days.
Number of items that can be borrowed at a time
If you are:
Member, student or volunteer: 4 items at a time
Family: 6 items at a time
Institution: 12 items at a time
Reservation
Items can be held for 10 days.
Overdue items
Any items overdue will be subject to a late fee of $ 0.25 /day / item. Fines apply to all categories of membership. The borrower will have to pay the current market rate for any items damaged or lost.
Caution
Food and drinks are not allowed inside the multimedia library.
