
The Alliance Française de Moncton (AFM) is a registered non-profit organization that was founded in 1999. The AFM is run by a Canadian Board of Directors, and has been providing quality French courses in Moncton for more than 12 years. The AFM has more than 300 students each year, and close to 100 members.
The mission of the Alliance Française de Moncton is to promote the French language and Francophone cultures through quality French courses and diplomas. The AFM also strives to highlight cultural and linguistic diversity and encourage multilingualism.
As a worldwide organization, the Alliance Française was founded in Paris in 1883. Today, more than 420,000 students learn French at Alliance Française schools in 137 countries. In Canada alone each year more than 10,000 adults and children attend courses offered by the 9 branches of the Alliance Française across the country.The Alliance Française is the largest private language school in Canada which specializes in teaching French as a second language.
